Wait, the wingsuit debuted in 3? I remember reviews talking about it in 4 like it was a new feature! I don't know whether to be delighted at its inclusion or annoyed that they withheld it until halfway through the game.

Editing … Just finished the game and it was more like the two thirds mark the wingsuit becomes available. And I thought inFAMOUS suffered for withholding a glide ability.

Editing … Everyone probably forgot about the wingsuit. There were a lot of features that I'd forgotten about, probably because this whole game was in the first-person perspective. I only remember skinning tigers...harvesting turtles...yeah, I felt so evil. Lol.

PC version is currently free and its the only entry of the mainline franchise I haven't played, so what is there to lose? Except it won't redeem and several people seem to be having the same issue. Boy Ubisoft, you really inspire a lot of confidence in your stupid service. You know your games aren't actually cool enough to have to put up with this bullshit?

This is the one Ubi Soft sandbox that I've enjoyed the most, for pitting me in all the ludicrous action hero scenarios. And the story gets really dumb. I mean, the player can literally choose between the good ending or the bad ending at the end of the game. But hey, at least it's the most ridiculous choice I've ever been given.

Man, I never feel like replaying a Ubi Soft game. I like watching other people play them though. Dunkey had the most accurate review of Far Cry 3, in my opinion.

Well, I beat it. That escape from Hoyt's Island was a lot of fun. Aside from that uh...it ended. I guess I shouldn't expect anything more from an Ubi Soft open-world game. Save your friends or kill them. I like how their fate is linked to a single button press. That's...creepy.

Coming closer to the end of Hoyt's Island. I'm having a good time, but it's starting to get a little redundant. Y'know...finding the tower, capturing the base. It's like...another Ubi Soft game.I guess I shouldn't expect anything too revolutionary.

I thought this game would be really tough, but I actually ran through the missions on Citra's island in a breeze. Fun storyline, but I think Jason must be hallucinating or something...

These open-world games would be great if someone actually fixed all the bugs in them. I can't finish the "Connection to the Past" quest because of a save game glitch. And now one of the stone tablets never appears. So I now I have to start all over again...

Editing … Or I "could" start all over. I don't think I receive much cash for finishing the quest, so I won't even bother.

Trying to finish Far Cry 3, a.k.a. Ubi Soft Time-Killer 7 or whatever number this was in their open-world universe. I always liked this more than Assassin's Creed, but this game...the flow of the game, it's like first-person Assassin's Creed? I mean aside from the shootouts, this game has towers...and "Head to the mini-game" hotspots...? Anyways, Vaas is a great villain. He kept me playing.

Did I ever tell you the definition of insanity? It's basically creating a framework for an excellent game and then nearly ruin everything by insisting on Ubisoft's policy of shoving as much content as possible in a game that serves no purpose other than hopefuly preventing players from selling the game off too fast. And then doing the same thing over and over again with each new game. However, with Far Cry 3 there's always that glimmer of brilliance in its lunatic eyes that makes you stick around.
Pros: Amazing opening, Vaas basically steals the whole show, has plenty of surprises in both the story and gameplay department, impressive visuals, solid shooting, stealth and driving, good level design, plenty of side activities (if that's your thing), strong last quarter of the game
Cons: Shining example of Ubisoft's modern game design - bloated with so much content that had to be justified somehow, so it was, but ended up hurting the overall game design, piss poor framerate on consoles, the story and script nosedive several times throughout the game's length, plenty of padding, Jason Brody is obnoxious and Vaas has too little screen time
