You spend a lot of hours doing things like the story missions, which are lame, the secret AX cup is second easiest if not the easiest cup in the game, there is little depth to the races and the optimal play pattern has you nearly entirely avoid combat (the funnest part) while rubberbanding becomes the most noticeable. Bad sound mixing with tracks that drone on too long (especially last lap when bgm changes) and they took way too many graphical shortcuts. (Like how the underwater tunnel in big blue doesnt show future sections of the track, the pipes in green planet not being rendered below the track, and most notably how the road just flat out disappears in the final race if it's not the path you took)
