I try to clean up this place but I start doing dishes and then move to the counters then to the stove... then to the wall... then to all the tchotchkes.... then to the shelves... then to the cabinets... and all the sudden it's three hours later and I never cleaned the floor or the table or the other counter or the fridge or the doors... Cleaning sucks. I hope to acquire enough money to just hire a house cleaner once a month or something when I'm on my own.

Editing … I love and hate cleaning. I hate it when I have to do it but when I'm cleaning I feel really good and it's so much fun to see things cleaned up. But if you can afford a cleaner and are not weirded out by the idea of a stranger cleaning your things I'd say that could be pretty cool. In the meantime maybe a cleaning system could help. I found this lady online and she specialises in easy quick and lazy cleaning. This vid really helped me not to clean things twice because of stupidity: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MdioP4THCRc

Editing … I can't even with that lady, her house isn't even dirty. I need a video on whoever cleans the hoarder houses. When I eventually move out again on my own cleaning will be less of a hassle and prob easy to manage. I'd prob get a cleaner just for like kitchen, bathroom, and vacuuming. Stuff that's just constant recurring stuff. Currently living with 5 people.... two children and two seniors... so it's impossible.

Editing … Oh man that does sound like a lot of work. But hoarder house cleaning is simple and that is to get rid of the junk but I think you already know that if you did a garage sale. But it’s not easy of course if you have to sort through everything. In my childhood house my mother was a massive hoarder. Then one day my brothers decided they did not want to live in the mess anymore and they gathered all the stuff they thought was useless or ugly (no asking no sorting) and dumped it outside and called the garbage men. My mom was out for a few days and in those few days the whole house became liveable again. Sure my mother was mad about her stuff but she was mad all the time anyways but now we were able to move freely through the house. :-D But the other 2 non-elderly adults in your house can help cleaning right? You're not doing all the cleaning on your own I hope? Maybe you could train the kids to be tidy. Brainwash them or something. Yeah but cleaning a cluttered home is not really possible. First stuff must go…….into the donation pile or to the nearest landfill.... And then burn it with fire. Or sacrifice one room (or more if necessary) to pack all the stuff into if people are sentimental about getting rid of things. Pack everything neatly and efficiently into boxes with labels. Then at least the rest of the house can be normal.

Editing … I remember a video of people who clean out hoarder houses to prevent eviction. There was no cleaning only scraping all the garbage into garbage bags also the furniture had to go. Afterwards they did a thorough clean of the floor maybe had the walls redone. Then they got a new bed for the person and called it a week. I hope in your situation it has not gotten so bad that you need to scrape things into garbage bags. :-O

Editing … Nah, appreciate the helpful tips. It's not really that bad but there is just stuff populating the living areas. There was an episode of hoarders where someone found it too difficult to get to their bathroom so they started shitting in shopping bags and just throwing it on their staircase. It's wild what the human brain can normalize.

Editing … hehe blocked bathroom episodes are the worst/best. The most tragic I've seen is where they lose their pets to the mountains of trash. When they dig through the stuff they find animal remains. Cats, dogs everything just turns to a dried out pile of fur.
