Watched about half of season two. I'm glad that Carmilla shows up, because that girl and the succubus tend to show up a lot in the Castlevania games. Aside from that, uh...two main Circle of the Moon characters! I really didn't play much of that game. I like all the foreshadowing, but man, I actually skipped to Aria of Sorrow during the Game Boy Advance era.

And I would have gotten so hyped if Dracula's castle showed up in Tokyo in 2035. I guess that would look weird with the current Netflix setting, but dude, Dracula in Japan, baybee! Anyways, I'm still waiting for more demon battles. All I saw so far were the the gargoyle Gaibon and his ostrich friend Slogra. How 'bout Mothra, while they're at it? w00t.

It ain't anything to write rave reviews about, but season one was a decent delve into the Castlevania 3 mythos. Sure, there's awkward moments of cursing and sex talk (WTF), but there's also a clever four-episode introduction to Trevor Belmont as a badass whip for hire.

I still wish that the director included the pirate Grant Dynasty. However, the show stayed surprisingly consistent with the dark tone of the video game. If season two retains the same high quality, this might become one of the more impressive Internet shows. I mean, considering that half of the streaming subscription shows stink of mediocrity...
