I heard this was better than most Marvel movies, and I really liked Sinners, so I decided to give this a shot. Holy fuck is it awful. This has to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I actually kept having flashbacks to Rebel Moon, with how Wakanda is always depicted as either a CGI backdrop, or as an empty room for the royal family to argue in. There's no imagination on display, there's no texture to the world. God I hate how Marvel movies constantly place their characters in empty rooms, often CGI rendered, to give the audience no pretense the characters have any means to interact with their environment. There's like one scene set in the city streets, and it's shot in a way where we can't see much of the environment until after it's been flooded. Just no sense of wonder at all. Such a boring and ugly movie too. I thought at its worst, it would be a mildly fun action flick I could at least tolerate, but this was unbearable.
