Favorite Silent Movies

Before talkies, we had simple moving picture without synchronized sound. Dialogue was delivered through intertitles, swords clashed silently, and music was played live in the theater. Even as the industry innovated and musical accompaniment could be printed on film or packaged with digital video, silent films were still produced without synchronous audio, and the tradition is still honored to this day.
