I was skeptical when I heard that the writer and director of Toradora of all things were doing a Gundam show, but they've really hit it out of the part with this series so far. Almost everything about it just works, from the writing to the pacing to the action to the directing, and it's designed from the ground up to require no prior knowledge of the franchise. It's easily the best Gundam series since the 1990s, and it's available for free on Hulu, Crunchyroll, and Daisuki.
