Leave it to Shaft to completely blow away all expectations and make something much better than I could imagine. Second Season captures everything that makes the Monogatari series so great (the surreal and creative stories, the charming and beautifully stylized visuals, the dry and hilarious writing, the concrete character chemistry) and double its quality. Every arc in this series is better than any other arc in the Monogatari series to that point. The series is long, but it is all so worth it.
