Yeah, we know, the ending, whatever. But, honestly, the ending was the best thing this show had to offer. School Days is a psychological thriller following the rise in tension between a group of girls because this one dude's dehumanization of them as fuck meat. This is an interesting idea, but if your going to take the time to delve into the complexity of the mind, make sure your delving into the human mind and not that of a chimpanzee. I mean, my god, all the characters that the show puts emphasis on do nothing logical. I understand the show is self aware, but it does nothing in its power to create some sort of mediator, some sort of voice of reason. It's just a relentless bombardement of stupid people acting illogically, making the viewer feel more infuriated than fascinated. The show tries to cement its straight up plot progression flaws with its analytical themes, which is absolute bullshit. But, the show does the best with the hole it dug itself into with its ridiculous ending.
