Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 decided to take a different approach than the other WWII shooters of that time. Instead of making you a one-man army, it stripped you of power and made you a soldier who was in command of several others. It is impossible to finish this game without relying heavily on your squad(s). Its slower pace and main protagonist's vulnerability aren't for everyone, but for those who do decide to dive into this game, will find a rewarding experience.
Pros: Fantastic in-between missions monologues, great writing and sound effects, good voice acting, unique blend of FPS and strategy makes gameplay feel fresh, good level design, push for authenticity, graphics hold up well, good atmosphere
Cons: Insane handshaking while being idle makes you shooting the enemy the least viable option, most missions are bite-sized and all follow the same pattern, painfully slow running, weak grenades
