Really disappointed to learn that Crystal, like the original anime, switches frequently between animation directors. I'm not sure if this is a common thing in anime in general, but in Sailor Moon it caused serious inconsistencies in the quality of the art and Crystal appears to be following suit. I'm going to have a hard time going back to the animation director of Episode 2, which had some pretty awkward moments (not as bad as 3 though...), after this week's gorgeous episode. I wish Toei had more of a budget for this so they could use animators that didn't suck throughout. :(
