The season where the Sailor Moon anime finally hits its stride! The animation continues its gradual improvement following R, and we finally get to meet the Outer Senshi, who introduce the ongoing theme of "a sacrifice for the greater good vs. no one gets left behind." Professor Tomoe and his subordinates bring the hilarity, and the story is considerably darker, more complex, and more well developed than in past seasons. Hotaru makes for a very interesting source of contention between the Inner and Outer Senshi.
