The Darkness II wasn't made by the team behind the original game and it shows. That isn't to say that it's a bad game. On the contrary. The weaknesses of the original are the strengths of this sequel. However it lacks some of the things that made the original a true masterpiece.
Pros: Astonishing art style, incredible level of detail, great story, back story, nice references to the original, major characters are well portrayed and feature good voice acting, fun and satisfying gameplay that only gets better the more you play the game, mostly great writing, surprisingly good co-op
Cons: Lacks atmosphere and music, some of the characters and voice acting, out of place tongue in cheek moments, minor gameplay and technical issues
