It happened at age 6. Isabella surpassed me in vocabulary.

It's not a surprise because I've mentioned to you guys for years that I struggle with words. I say 30 or 40 words and over explain when 3 proper words is maybe enough. I know I'm not great with words. I read 50 books a year and understand everything but when it come to talking or writing it's just not there. I'm sure you guys could be more concise, but I can't, my brain just doesn't work that way, it's like I have a checklist I need to run through and have no creativity. Give me a typical IQ test and I'm 125-140 everytime, those twisted shapes are easy to put back. I can't remember words at all though, or street names either. I go by sight, I drive 200 miles from Hull to London by remembering sights, roundabouts and stuff, and when it's in my head it's there forever. I will know my way to the industrial estate in Northampton or the cafe in Bilston until the day I die. It's weird how brains work. I am pretty good at maths though! :D

To see Isabella doing so well in my weak area makes me really happy. She's coming out with words I know but have only ever read, and she uses them properly at the right times. We put some work in when she was young so she was always ahead of others, we didn't just let her play we did books and learned things, but her school have been excellent and have taken her further than we can already. I'm glad we got her in that school, it's top rated in the area and believe me, it shows. Nobody I know from school has her vocabulary and we're all in our mid to late 40s.
