This laptop is ugly but runs much faster, and turns out it can run Arena. All I did was exit fullscreen mode and lower the resolution, and afterwards played multiple games and multiple best-2-of-3 matches without it crashing. Bummer.. I was looking forward to getting a used laptop for the third time (maybe a gaming laptop this time such as MSI) but it looks like I get to save money, oh well.
