They need the research moneys back so they are getting it from you. With all those extra graphical enhancements, the full amount of fun can simply not fit on the disc anymore. If you wanted the new graphics and the old amount of fun, you would need 2 discs so the cost would go up even more. You should be glad you can get new graphics at a reduced price thanks to the lowered amounts of fun present on the disc. They are doing you a service and saving you money.
