Finding Forrester is more memorable for the unconventional ways in which it sets the scene. Sure, it showcases stellar performances from Sean Connery and the (young) Michael B. Jordan (a.k.a Apollo Creed's son). However, it also integrates a lot of eclectic soundtrack ideas, such as Hawaiian slack-key guitar songs by Bill Frisell, some insane free jazz from Ornette Coleman, a freestyle rap intro from J Pressure, and some instrumental jazz hip-hop beats from DJ Cam.
