Silent GamerFinal Fantasy

Oh noes! My "backup" of my Final Fantasy shared universe folder is incomplete and the computer it was on has been retired. I shall have to redo a huge section of it....again Oh wells, I think I remember most of what was lost. I've been feeling the itch to get started on it again. I might focus on a timeline first before fleshing out the individual worlds again. There have been a bunch of games released in the series since I started, so i might need to rejig things.

Final Fantasy

Final Fantasy (ファイナルファンタジー, Fainaru Fantajī) is a science fiction and fantasy media franchise created by Hironobu Sakaguchi, and developed and owned by Square Enix (formerly Square). The franchise centers on a series of fantasy and science fantasy role-pl...

Silent Gamer Haha, word. Although the gameplay is pretty fun. My only experience of NT was in an arcade in Tokyo, but I hear it has a free version on PS4 now, so I want to check it out properly (and in English).

Cool Guy It is really fun but as a representation of Final Fantasy and its characters it's a joke and it makes me A N G E R Y

After I go see Foo Fighters this year, this is pretty much the only band left that I 'have' to see. I'm still so gutted that I never went to see Linkin Park before it was too late.

Rammstein

Rammstein (German pronunciation: ) is a German Neue Deutsche Härte band, formed in 1994 in Berlin. Throughout its existence, Rammstein's six-man lineup has been unchanged—singer Till Lindemann, guitarists Richard Z. Kruspe and Paul H. Landers, bassist Oli...

Master Crash I've lost too many concerts so now I'm giving my best to go as much as I can (which to be fair isn't that much). Imma see Bon Iver and Smashing Pumpkins on the same day tho, so that's a victory for me already. (Plus, Idles and Gavin James, but since it's on a different stage I'm afraid the schedules overlap...)

So, is there any real reason (besides shameless money grabbing) that the industry is flooded with remakes, re-releases and sequels to old franchises? Is this just the nostalgia generation?

Kevin Coffey I think folks will go see a reboot movie because if they liked the original and they like the new one that's great. If they don't like the new one they get to compare the two and shit all over it. They still have something to talk about the next day so it's a win-win situation from the general consumers point of view. And of course that translates to dollars.

DJ JJ Slider I dunno. There's a lot more money grubbing than ever before at the moment. I think companies are really playing it safe, because they're super-afraid of losing out. Sorry if I can't offer any really good insight, but that's the perception I've getting from these big entertainment companies.

I want to get back into movies. I haven't watched anything in so long. I also want to rewatch my top movies. It's been a few years since I've seen most of them and I reckon it's been just long enough for me to have forgotten parts.

Kevin Coffey AMC has their Stubs that you pay I think $15 a year and you can get into movies on Tuesdays for $5. That's practically the only time I go unless I'm seeing an arthouse or foreign film at an independent theater. In my experience the noisy phone addicts are at a minimum on Tuesday nights. As a matter of fact I've had the theater completely to myself on several occasions. Usually it's just some senior citizens out for date night unless you're seeing family films during the day then you're contending with rowdy kids so I usually just keep it to the nighttime.

Husky Wing Cinemark's Tuesday tickets are $5.75, that's when I pay as well. The phone addicts aren't typically noisy, but some dumbass is always interested in knowing what time it is and lighting up the entire theater.

Silent Gamer I have a yearly pass for my cinema and usually go quite frequently, but uni has been taking up all my time recently.
