MGS series was always known for its highly cinematic experience and superb gameplay. The synergy between the two, while ever changing (in order to find the ''right'' balance between the two) and often disputed, was iconic. MGSV: GZ, on the other hand, stripped away the cinematic experience from the package and focused instead on the gameplay aspect - resulting in a mechanically excellent, but ultimately soulless MGS game.
Pros: Puts an interesting spin on the Peace Walker's story, excellent game and level design, offers different approaches and routes to suit your game style and situations that can pop up, great sound design and music
Cons: Visuals (although great on the tech side) lack the typical MGS flair, resulting in a highly generic looking game, Camp Omega (although a fun playground) isn't very memorable, Kiefer Sutherland phoned his performance in, lacks the typical cutscene-to-gameplay MGS rhythm as well as a boss fight to round it off, at launch it was overpriced for what you got, lacks series' quirkiness
