Toy Story 3's story mode is disappointing and feels like an afterthought, while it seems that all the energy went into creating the surprisingly good Toy Box, which can be described as a GTA lite for kids.
Pros: Clean visuals with colors that pop, solid platforming and level design, plenty of variety in gameplay, Toy Box mode is a great concept that’s well executed and surprisingly beefy, when everything clicks it makes you feel like a real toy, good voice acting, co-op
Cons: Story levels often give you multiple characters to play as, but the levels can only be completed by using all of them in a particular way, music is entirely forgettable (apart from 2 superb lincesed tracks that are used in two occasions only), problematic framerate, on-rails sections often pad out the short levels, camera lags behind the action and there’s no first person view, story levels are disappointingly small, too few (especially so when you count out the ‘’imaginary’’ levels) and feel somewhat sterile
