At first, Set Yourself On Fire seems like a odd change of pace for Stars, who usually performs trip-hop. Literally, half of the songs start with drastically different tempos. On each listen though, it just amazes me even more.

Each track carries an unusual narrative that flows from beginning to end. Sure, the story might not make sense at first, but it has to do with numerous break-ups and some constant struggle for a stable relationship. Regardless of whether anyone figures it out, all the songs keep everything eclectic. The band constantly transitions between rock and some speedy, synth-punk vibe. Set Yourself on Fire is nuts, but Stars holds it together remarkably well.
