Yea, so I thought I might like this one because it has Jason Todd (the opposite to Dick Grayson and a symbol for the huge toll Batman's reluctance to kill has on him and his allies) as well as Starfire (a character I wanted to know more about due to my love for the #Teen Titans tv show) but alas, the versions present in these comics are rather bland and one-dimensional. Starfire's character seems especially absent, being nothing more than fanservice. The pacing is painfully slow and you could honestly cut the issues in half with all the wasted filler material. I doubt I will go back to this series tbh.

I tried to really like the volume but it was tedious. I mean, the team is great, #Red Hood / Jason Todd has a lot of potential as a character, #Roy Harper is supposed to be a fun guy and #Starfire has nice assets because she is an alien and has a substantial backstory (but the depiction she has since those comics is that of an alien prostitute with big breasts...she has been botched), but the storyline was quite low and messy. I expected more (the sixth issue was the only valuable one in my opinion).

Editing … How did Jason Todd return from the dead, anyway? I thought Joker killed him for good in the 'Death in the family' storline from the mid-1980s

Editing … He was resurrected thanks to the Lazarus Pit and Talia al Ghul, but he became mentally unstable and held it against Batman for a while (he almost killed him). Now he kills villains and criminals under the Red Hood mantle.

Editing … I suspected as much; in which comics/in which year did this happen? Are you referring to "Batman R.I.P." when you say that Jason almost killed Bruce?

Editing … For your first question, you can read it in: "Red Hood: The Lost Days" (started in August, 2010) but the new Red Hood was introduced as Jason Todd prior to the mini-series, in Batman #638 (May, 2005) and explained in Batman Annual #25 (2006). And for the second part, I only saw it in this TPB thanks to one of Jason's souvenirs.

Editing … Just read Batman annual 25 :) so Superman created a time paradox which brought Jason back from the dead and he then joined forces with hush to take revenge on Bruce? What a load of crap
