I'm surprised how much people love the story in this. The only part I found clever was how they handled the post game. It was no Silent Hill 2 or Final Fantasy VII or To the Moon.

Editing … Oh yea, the story is really nothing special. There's more filler than there is anything else, but that's Rockstar games in general.

While I would have personally wanted a new Bully, a new Red Dead is something I'll accept and enjoy a lot too. It's all but confirmed here.

I can't imagine Rockstar will ever outshine what they accomplished with Red Dead Redemption. An open world western, with the best story and gameplay seen in a Rockstar game! Not to mention the kickass train.
    Fucking love that train.
Man, cowboys are the greatest. Hunting's the greatest. Leaping from horseback onto a speeding train is the greatest.
    Damn I love that train.
I expect great things from Red Dead 3.

It might just seem like GTA in the Wild West at a quick glance but Red Dead Redemption is so much more than that. In terms of story and characters it might be Rockstar's greatest accomplishment to date and as usual they manage to portray a time period and location with such love and care that it will always stick with you. It also helps that the multiplayer is brilliant with tons of content. Sitting in some shady dive bar while playing dice with your friends is a surprisingly tense gameplay experience and so is going into the woods and gunning down hordes of grizzly bears. I actually think most of my appreciation for this game comes from the glorious multiplayer experience. Extra points for the amazing zombie expansion pack that added tons of content to the single player AND the multiplayer.

Editing … Amen. RDR may be one of my favorite games of last gen. Games like this is why I pay attention to what Rockstar brings out. I have the GOTY Edition of the game which has Undead Nightmare which is also fun.

This game is so immersive...you'll feel like you're in the wild west. Great story and open world...hoping for a sequel soon.

This is a game that felt consistently solid to me, never hitting any real highs or lows. Got over 30 hours out of it.

I'm a little upset about the portrayal of women in Red Dead Redemption. And I can also say I don't like John Marston because he doesn't do what I want him to do. But if a game can make me feel angry, sad, happy and shocked, I can say it's a good game.
