This is absolutely one of my favorite boss fights ever.

Editing … (spoilers about the strategy/fight to follow, not Lost Odyssey story spoilers) SpoilerThis fucker has 175,000 HP. And the best way to deal damage to it is using Divide and Reversa, which are spells that deal damage according to the caster's current HP and according to how much HP the caster has lost, respectively. Where it gets tricky is he can *completely* wipe out your Guard Condition in one attack, so your back row is just as vulnerable as the front. And he is able to deal massive damage by casting spells that hit your whole party at once, back to back and leaving you little chance to heal in between. The best defense against this is to give your party passive skills like Absorb Magic (has a chance to heal you instead of damage you) and Lucky 0 Magic Damage, but since these are based on luck, you never really know what your HP is going to look like by the time your character finishes casting either Divide or Reversa. I had multiple Immortals dead at once, so a lot of it was holding on by a thread with the last remaining members of my party while I waited for the KO'd ones to self-revive (takes 3 turns for the Immortals iirc). Anyway, very tough fight, but at the level my party was, it wasn't infuriatingly so.

Editing … I'm kicking myself for not playing this game when I had the chance (watched extensively my bro play it though) and since my 360 is gone for good now, I'm not able to play it unless it gets rereleased for PC at some point. I still listen to its soundtrack frequently. One of Uematsu's finest work!
