I Couldn’t Become a Hero, So I Reluctantly Decided to Get a Job. (勇者になれなかった俺はしぶしぶ就職を決意しました。, Yūsha ni Narenakatta Ore wa Shibushibu Shūshoku o Ketsui Shimashita.?, lit. "I, Who Didn't Become a Hero, Reluctantly Decided to Find a Job.") also known in its short form as Yu-Sibu is a Japanese light novel series written by Jun Sakyou and illustrated by Masaki Inuzumi. The series was awarded Gold in the 23rd Fantasia Awards. An anime adaptation by Asread began airing on October 4, 2013. The story revolves around a young man named Raul Chaser who dreamed of becoming a hero with his team of skilled heroes-in-training, but due to the collapse of the Demon Empire, the Hero Program was suspended. With Raul's dream crushed, he was forced to find a new line of work and ended up employed at a small department store called Magic Shop Leon.     I was hoping for something a little more like #Hataraku Maou-sama! but I still enjoyed it.

    The premise is interesting, it's set in your standard world of demons and fantasy heroes but the twist is that the major evil has already been defeated. Because the war is over the lesser demons and heroes have no place in society so must try and integrate into normal life. The main cast work in a magic shop where they sell household appliances that have been enhanced with magic to better perform mundane tasks.

    The main focus is on #Fino Bloodstone and #Raul Chaser. Daughter of the now defeated big baddy and a hero in training who had his heroic aspirations cut short by the defeat of the aforementioned big bad. It's a bit of a stereotypical portrayal of "Two unlikley characters come together and then, antics." but it is entertaining none the less.

    There is a bunch of fanservice thrown in to facilitate awkward comedy so if that's not your deal, avoid.
