Harrier Attack is viewed from the side, and instantly resembles titles such as Wings of Fury and Jetstrike. You're on board a Harrier and must reach the enemy island, destroying planes and ground installations as you go, then destroy their base and fly back to yours. Your Harrier is armed with both bombs and a gun. You must be careful not to fly at full speed throughout your journey as fuel is limited.     Harrier Attack is a side-scrolling shoot 'em up where you alone are flying against an opposing military force, trying to destroy everything in sight. Beware though! One hit and you start all over.

    This game is admittedly very challenging but you shouldn't expect too much gameplay knowledge from developers in the early eighties.

    The most important thing in this game, however, is the sound. Being *very* limited in terms of technical specifications of the system, this game still managed to create a very distinctive sound that makes the game recognizable even ~3o years later.
