I didn't know that this system had so many Final Fantasy games. I spent more time playing Sonic Advance and Gunstar Super Heroes. And then I eventually switched to Namco Museum, because...Pac Man and Pole Position, man.

Great handheld with an excellent game library containing loads of RPGs.

Editing … I love the GBA! I have the SP version. I mostly used it to play the first 2 Breath of Fire ganes, as well as Pokémon. But the console itself is really nice and it's good having access to games like Advance Wars.

Editing … Reading handheld and RPGs combined is a reason to me to ignore it.

Editing … I really loved my SP. It was simply perfect as a handheld: smol, comfortable to hold and it had great games, plus it could play GameBoy games with multiple color palettes to choose from, which was really amazing! Too bad that I sold it. I was such an idiot

Editing … I could never play Final Fantasy 6 on the GBA. Actually I had a lot of issues with the Advance. But it's probably still the best system for playing Game Boy Tetris. :-P

Editing … I really had warm, fuzzy memories though, because it was the first time I owned a Sonic game. Sonic Advance and Gunstar Super Heroes were the killer games that made this system great. So to me...Game Boy Advance was my go-to Sega console. Lol.

The Game Boy Advance was a fun portable platform for it's time which also marked the end of an era for portable nintendo consoles. It's library consisted of a lot of 2d platformers and rpgs which effectively made it as close to a portable snes as it could get without being outdated for the early 2000's. It's only flaws if you accept it for what it is is the lack of Screen lighting. (fixed on sp models) and the washed out colors of most games in order to compensate for this lighting which didn't help the sp at all.

A nice little piece of hardware. I've never owned a GameBoy Advance though; I've always played with an "Advance SP" which looks quite different from the original iteration. It is very comfortable to hold (not as big and clunky as the DS/3DS), has a long battery service life and - the best advantage the SP has over the original GBA - it has a front light feature so you can also play games in the dark. Backwards compatibility to GameBoy and GameBoy Color games is also great with a high amount of color palettes to choose from.

All the games I have ever played on this system are great! This is my favorite portable gaming device. 10/10
