Like every galactic 4x game, no matter how good, eventually you just wish you were playing MOO2 instead. It gets so much right, and even has some features that MOO2 does not, but it's missing some important things. The 4x genre really suffered from having the perfect game come to it. There was nothing else for it to do, nowhere for it to grow, so it died. MOO2 is a monument half-buried in shifting sands, with an inscription that reads 'look upon my works, ye mighty, and despair!'.

Was already on the way to love this game completly, because it makes so many things right. Liked things like the tech tree, graphics, random events and the option to define the amount of colonists in a ship (ignored the fact that there is no option to design ships). But during my first game in a huge galaxy i recogniced a annoyance, why in hell is every planet in my empire treated equall based on the taxsystem! It made me furious and crippled my large empire resulting a ragequit to this game. Its still an excellent game but for me...
