Third person, completely different combat, completely different story and vibe. Far Cry 3 has much much less platformer-esque stuff. Anyway, I've never tried Far Cry 2 but Far Cry 3 was good enough that no one really cares that 2 exists anymore, and 3 is one of my favorite ps3 games and probably my favorite FPS.

I, like most gamers, have an appetite for sameness and Ubisoft caters to what I want by delivering the same fucking game with a slightly different coat of paint every single year.
