    Space Truck Simulator 2303.

There is something captivating about commanding a vessel in a gameworld literally the size of a galaxy. Trucking is good, combat is good, exploring is wonderful. And the recent addition of aliens is making the game all the more interesting. This is one I'll definitely sink more hours into.

Man, I haven't played this in months, guess I'll give it another go. *enemy AI burns through my three-layer shield with one shot while my attacks do minimal damage.* Lol nope, fuck this game still.

    1) Is there going to be a PS4 Version of Elite Dangerous?
    2) Can you play it without an internet connection?
    3) Can you play the game with a dualshock 4 on PC?
    4) Is there a physical version of this game for Xbox One? If not, how much GB does the download take up on your console's HDD?
    5) How much does it go for these days?

Editing … No Mans Buy has got you interested in ED huh? Me too, im looking at it myself. The only question i can answer is #1. There is going to be a PS4 version but its release date is unknown. Tbh it looks like it would be better on PC and this is coming from a console only player.

Editing … ED is typically about ~$20 when on sale on Steam. Haven't seen it go lower than that. I want to get it eventually, but I want it to be a fuller game first. From what I understand they still need to add a lot of stuff.

In a bid for "Biggest Gaming Screw-Up of the Year," Frontier Dev released a major update to the Xbox One version and said "We'll be playing online with the community tonight!" They get on and no one is there. They check Twitter and the forums and there's a flood of messages and posts about people not being able to log on. This went unchecked for over 14 hours. Turns out that when they updated the game, they separated the full game from the physics engine (which can be downloaded but not played by itself) and it appeared they were charging again for the full package. Why the hell they did this is a level of stupid beyond my reasoning. It turns out the game wasn't checking to see if the full version had been previously purchased, meanwhile people thought they were running a scam and started verbally abusing them. A couple of days later they patched it up and people were able to play again... sort of. I myself am having to play the Elite Dangerous Physics Engine which is mutated/linked into the full game. WHY did they separate the whole thing? It doesn't help anything. Previously it was all in one nice package, including the CQC (PvP) which is now a separate add-on called Arena. This update took up an extra 2GBs of space when almost nothing new was added. They may have mastered this on the PC, but I don't think the Xbox One team fully knows what they're doing.

Patience. Grinding. Pointlessness. The inability to win a dogfight because you're basically level 1 fighting a level 15, or 3 level 20s. The vastness of an entire galaxy is pointless if there's nothing to do but trivial missions and fetch quests. There is no exploration with a purpose. Answering a distress signal is sometimes someone who needs fuel (good luck figuring out how to get them some) or most of the time an ambush. I had to watch a YouTube tutorial explaining how to dock at a station because the game tutorials only teach you how to fly and basic combat. You can't land on any planet like No Man's Sky, you can't engage in an epic war like EVE, and you can't even visit Earth or our solar system unless you have a permit or were a Kickstarter backer. Each planet, star, and orbiting station is a copy and paste job and the entire galaxy is littered with millions of them. It's $10 worth of content parading as a $60 game. There is NOTHING to do. There is no REASON to play.

I seriously cannot tell the difference between #Elite: Dangerous, #No Man's Sky and #Star Citizen

Editing … Both Star Citizen and Elite: Dangerous claim to be "space trading and combat simulators." I suppose No Man's Sky has a greater emphasis on exploration, as it would seem we can freely roam countless planets.

Editing … but do we know if there's even anything to do once you've reached a new planet? Surely the gameplay won't be just another pointless elder scrolls walking simulator clone?

Editing … I don't know yet. The goal of the game seems to be to reach the center of the galaxy, so chances are they'll have resources for you. Maybe it's like The Aurora Wager in SPAAACE.
