Okay, I tried to edit this into RPG and evidently somebody disagrees. What criteria doesn't it meet? It has XP, leveling up, stats, loot, inventory, crafting, grinding, side-quests, non-linear mission progression etc. The wikipedia page even lists its genre as "Action role-playing." It checks twice as many RPG boxes as Bastion, so what the heck is that game doing in wRPG if Dust doesn't qualify?

Arik Manley I don't know, it sounds like an RPG to me.

Fun (but repetitive) combat, lots to do in-game between forging, exploring and completing challenge rooms, and brilliant, hand-painted artwork. In some areas it's quite obvious the game was made by one man, particularly the writing which is constantly wavers between charming and cringe-worthy. Overall worth a play, though the final boss is disproportionately hard.
