Donkey Kong (Japanese: ドンキーコング, Hepburn: Donkī Kongu?) is an arcade game released by Nintendo in 1981. Donkey Kong looks really old-fashioned, but its gameplay is still fun nowadays! Nintendo decided to put out their classic games on GBA cartridges and sold them for a lower price than their new GBA games (15 Euro per cartridge, as far as I remember). Nintendo did not change anything in the game to keep it clearly classic. The control scheme is easy but it becomes quite challenging avoiding all these barrels, car jacks and fire. The gameplay is actually realistic because you will die if you drop down from high platforms. Donkey Kong is a pure "pick up and play" game which you can play without learning difficult control schemes. I think it was worth the 15 Euros, even though it looks old, it's a timeless classic!

It was weird playing it in the midd 90s, one hit meaning death and only a few level to play. A good game that makes nothing wrong, but truely showing how limitated games were in the past compared to recent ones.

As big as a certain couple of characters (not to mention a company) would become, this isn't really that great of a game, certainly not nowadays. I'd rather play a number of vintage arcade games over Donkey Kong. Let's be honest, pretty much every game Miyamoto has ever worked on since surpasses this.
