There have been other dumb inconsistencies in the writing like that. You will probably find yourself making fun of the sometimes exceptionally bad dialogue and stilted voice acting (and they improved on it in this episode!), but yeah, it definitely is relaxing and the story is really starting to get interesting now. It's quite a nice fandom to be a part of too if you're into that kind of thing. Lots of general positivity, cool fan art and fanfics, really insightful fan theories/predictions, etc. and the general consensus is that basically no main character is straight, lol.
