Sometimes this game is so hard and so buggy, that isn't easy to say it's a good game. But if you're not a big baby, this game can be really enjoyable. The OST is fantastic and it's integrated part of the game, I love it. The visual is pretty, but sometimes it's annoying, mainly because it can confuse you and make you die a lot of times. In the end, Bit.Trip Runner wasn't the best indie game of all time (how I used to imagine), but it's a good game. As hard as Super Meat Boy, with great musics as Bastion and with a peculiar and pretty visual as Limbo.

It starts out simple and gets brutal quickly. It has a clear appeal for fans of retro games not only in the visuals and sounds, but in its striking but rewarding difficulty. Players can hear clear differences in the music's make-up if even one item is missed, encouraging them to get every pickup to hear the full tune. Somehow, it's oddly reminiscent of playing a musical instrument--much more so than, say, Guitar Hero. The better you get at the game and the more familiar you become with the levels, the more you'll want to go back and try to beat your high scores.
