This year we had two sci-fi epics presented in the 2.76:1 aspect ratio: The Wandering Earth II and The Creator. This aspect ratio is probably most famous for its use in Ben-Hur, or you might've seen it in The Hateful Eight. Both movies happened to grapple with the personhood of AI, and both had phenomenal, in some cases groundbreaking CGI.
The first The Wandering Earth film also had an ultrawide aspect ratio, at 2.55:1.
The Wandering Earth II also had many scenes shot in digital IMAX, which were shown at 2.11:1 in IMAX theaters, and 2.40:1 on blu-ray.
The Creator was shot with a pretty affordable (for a film production) range of consumer and prosumer cameras. Its main camera launched at only $3,900. It came out looking stunning, but I suppose no one's shooting at 2.76:1 without knowing what they're doing.
I enjoyed The Wandering Earth II more than The Creator.
