At first glance I thought 'ArcheAge' said 'ArchieAge', and was an MMO set in Riverdale.

Not entirely sure who thought it'd be a good idea to list #League of Legends as an MMO, but it is NOT an MMO. It's a MOBA.

Editing … From what I understand it's massively multiplayer and online only. To be honest though, I only played it briefly years ago and according to the internet this is a heated debate amongst LoL folks and outsiders so I'm not that adamant either way...

Editing … League of Legends is either a MOBA or an Action RTS at best. It isn't massive at all. There's 10 players at any given time on a map. That's not a very large amount of players.

Also, why isn't PokeMMO available in this list?

I've never been hugely into MMOs. I'm not quite sure why. That being said, I was particularly fond of DC Universe Online.

Editing … I would of preferred to keep the Unikgamer rules of no expansion sets in the main lists but Pape decided to throw everything in there. WoW is basically an entirely different game now compared to what it was and Wrath of the Lich King was far superior :P @nodley I don't get why people are so adverse to paying a subscription, I don't play anymore but I played WoW for 8 years and it is easily the best value/time I've gotten out of a game ever.

Editing … So after 8 years how much did it cost you altogether? In 8 years I spent quite a bit too but got a massive variety of games. I couldn't imagine playing one game for 8 years.

Editing … I went back through my account history and added up the cost of playing and I spent £73.75/yr and easily spent thousands of hours playing (Can't get exact time as my account is inactive). It's not like playing the same game as it constantly changed / updated, WoW today is nothing like WoW 8 years ago. For me it was also about playing with a set of awesome people, I would not have played as long if it was not for my guild.

Editing … I guess that's not so bad, £73 a year isn't a lot. I don't have thousands of hours to get my moneys worth though, I like short and sweet blasts like Modern Warfare campaigns. 6 hours then maybe a bit more trying to get achievements and I'm ready to move on. The only game I spend hundreds of hours on is Football Manager, I do about 20 hours a week.

New Leaf is considered a MMO? Cool, does that make post-Wi-Fi Pokemon games MMO's too? Particularly X and Y, since it's a much more inter-connected experience than DPP and BW/BW2. The only thing is none of these games I've mentioned allow real-time interaction between many players at once. Not sure if that's a necessary aspect of an MMO, but I always thought of it as such.
