I don't get it why there are entry's like Cyrodiil, Skyrim, Morrrowind and Tamriel??? They all are in one place Tamriel.

Editing … Probably because Skyrim, Cyrodiil and Morrowind are the settings of entire games and thus they are rankable on their own, its like Gotham City and DC Universe. And for example it doesn't really make sense that someone that have only played Skyrim in the Elder Scrolls series and really liked the setting have to rank the entirety of Tamriel instead of Skyrim only.

Editing … @Pape Badiane, I have a question. Now that you're merging video games, will it be the same with other categories like this one? For exemple there is the Pokemon World and Johto in the list but Johto should be a sub-category of the Pokemon World, right?

Editing … I'm not sure yet. I'll have to think about it and hear your suggestions. It will be use for the fictional character category though. That should resolve the Anakin/Darth Vader discussion.

Most of these places are filled with war and suffering. Keep in mind that when you move to Gotham, you're not Batman. You're the one being placed on a ship covered in explosives, threatened to be blown up by an atom bomb, robbed, stabbed, mugged, and probably killed due to a shoot up you had nothing to do with.

Editing … Awesome fictional worlds aren't necessarily places you'd want to live. They're just really interesting even if it's in a dark and twisted way like with Rapture, Gotham, Westeros or the Cthulhu Mythos.

Editing … Thinking about it, I'm not sure which fictional world I'd want to live in. The Marvel universe and the Wizarding World really lose their appeal if you'd be a powerless human/muggle and odds are you would be. The odds of running into the Doctor or joining Shepard's crew would be pretty slim too I guess. Reckon I'd go with Middle Earth, adventure around every corner but generally nothing too dark you can't see coming a mile off.

Can I make a teensy suggestion? If you're going to add something like "The World of <insert game here>" can we please just cut out "the" and just leave it as "World of <insert game here>"? It sounds weird like, "The World of The Forbidden Lands" for example. It sounds much better to say "World of The Forbidden Lands." I don't know. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Editing … I'd have said the reverse actually. "The ---- Universe" or "The World of -------" sounds better to me. On a sidenote it's a shame a lot of fantasy/sci-fi stories don't give a name for their world as a whole and just name regions. The Seven Kingdoms is a way better name than The World of A Song of Ice and Fire for example.

Editing … It was aimed at Chemical but tbh honest I don't mind both ways as long as the original name takes priority when there is one.

It seems as though someone made a 2nd page for Rapture titled Rapture (Bioshock). However, the original Rapture page already refers to Bioshock, so I feel as though the two should be merged.

Hmm, I didn't realize this list specifically meant whole fictional worlds. I vote we open this up to all fictional locations or remove "settings" from the title since anyplace can be a setting. I'd prefer the former.

Editing … I would prefer it to remain just worlds (maybe also regions) and have a separate list for cities and towns etc especially if it's only going to be a top 10. If you are going to opening it up to everything would "Locations" not be a better term for the list?

Editing … I was thinking this list would be galaxies (Mass Effect, Star Wars, Star Trek etc), worlds (Narnia, the wizarding world) and regions (Middle Earth, Westeros). I think ranking a city should be ok if the fiction never explores beyond that city but other than that I'd say that's too much detail and I'd definitely say towns and castles don't belong in the same list as worlds, continents and galaxies.

Editing … Just as an example I don't think Gotham and the whole DC universe belong in the same list which is why I didn't rank Gotham even though it's far and away the most awesome part of the DC Universe.
