Favorite Dreamcast Games

Being released before its competitors in the 6th Generation of gaming, the Sega Dreamcast was way ahead of its time: supplemented by a built-in modem for online gaming out of the box - a first for home consoles -, it also featured web browsing, dedicated servers, in-game voice chat and early instances of DLC. Plus, the fancy memory card - the so-called VMU - docked into the prodigious controller, had a display and even functioned as a handheld. Unfortunately, this gaming jewel ended up being the last piece of hardware of the company. Nonetheless, it was - and still is - one of the most popular consoles to date; in fact, so popular that unlicensed indie games are still being released years after its discontinuation.

There are 3 manufacturers of HDDs left: Seagate, Toshiba, and Western Digital. All other brands use one of these three.
I would avoid any 3.5" drives (they run hot), so that probably means no 3TB or 4TB.
I would avoid any Western Digital branded external drives since the USB ports are soldered directly onto the drives themselves, which means that if the USB port craps out, the drive is useless. Both other brands with WD drives inside might be okay.

Thank you very much for your recommendations! It seems that the Western Digital wins by a large margin. However, I think I'll buy the 3TB one instead of the 4TB. The 3TB costs €118.99 while the 4TB one comes in a whopping €256.30 on Amazon!
What I find a bit worrying is that many customers on Amazon complained about defective hard drives (82 1-Star ratings vs 367 5-star ratings). I hope that when I buy one, I won't get one of these faulty drives.

I agree with Martin, I also have a 1TB drive from Western Digital and am very happy with it. They're also good value for money.

I've had a couple of 1TB Western Digital for a number of years and I've never had a problem with them. They were cheap too so I wasn't expecting them to last, I'll definitely buy WD in the future.
