I think it would have been more enjoyable if I wasn't already so familiar with Warcraft's lore. I found myself cringing throughout most of the movie due to the mediocre acting and the way they introduced the characters (Khadgar and Medivh in particular). The effects and CGI were disappointing and could have looked much better coming from a company like Blizzard. But at least it stayed true to the lore for the most part. Overall its a decent watch whether you're a fan of the franchise or not, I'll be looking forward to a sequel (and maybe some improvements).
