NBA Jam is a licensed two-on-two basketball game, allowing multiplayer for up to four players - which makes it a great choice for couch parties. The overall feel of the game is very arcade-like due to the fast-paced action and easy controls: run, shoot or pass the ball. There are also the turbo and steal buttons for a more tactical play but they are not necessary to win a match.

These easy pick-up-n-play controls and the - deliberatetly so - inhuman dunks make every player feel like a star, regardless of his / her skill level - which results in an incredibly fun video game experience.

It also allows you to use cheats like big heads, prominent characters, etc. - cheats that are fun, if you remember the kind.
