    Saved!
I actually dislike this even more than Batman & Robin, possibly because the latter was so universally derided that nobody could even begin to pretend it was actually any good, so it was just a bit of harmless trash. However, Batman Forever was EVERYWHERE when it came out. The PR was relentless. The trailers were on an endless loop and seemingly everybody from Seal to U2 contributed to the soundtrack, meaning that MTV was practically a no-go area for the entire summer of 1995. Thankfully the rest of the world caught up a couple of years later and collectively came to the conclusion that Schumacher had thrashed the franchise for a generation with all that campy day-glo shit. Of course the silver lining was that the only way to rescue Batman would be go to dark and then some, enter Christopher Nolan, but man did we have to suffer before reaching that point.

Editing … I think I caught it on Sky Movies or summat, which just confirmed any prejudices I had based on the trailer.

Editing … I kind of enjoyed it, but I wasn't around for the ads and went in with very low expectations. I actually like it more than the first Burton one.

Editing … I actually liked Val Kilmer as Bruce Wayne and Batman, but that's about it. This movie plain ol' sucked.
