    Saved!
As someone who can't go back and enjoy the original show, I was pleasantly surprised. The animation and voice acting are a lot better than I would have expected. At only an hour and a half, the story moves really swiftly, hitting only the major beats while still managing to feel like a big epic journey. Although it has the cheesiness one would expect, I never cringed, and it was quite nostalgic. The darkness and feels of the second episode surprised me. I just wish Red were a more interesting character, and another half hour would have fleshed things out better. For what it was, it was a lot better than it had any right to be.
