Last night was my first time having fish of any kind... I marinaded some filets in a tamari sauce mixture and then my dad grilled them. It was so good! I was kind of weirded out by the layer of fat at first though, lol.

Editing … Eh, I'm in landlocked Tennessee, so seafood isn't necessarily popular here. The guide book is just a book my chiropractor gave me to read that gives tips on how to live healthy (not just "thin"). There are things I dislike about it, but it's a helpful resource for someone trying to overhaul their choices, especially when it comes to what they eat. The summary at the top is really shitty though, lol http://www.amazon.com/Cruise-Ship-Nursing-Home-Essentials/dp/1933936991

Editing … I'm just sayin', it's not like I live near the Gulf or on the east coast. :P It's not that unusual for people around here to not eat fish. Sure, it's readily available at stores, but it's not the freshest and it's not the type of cuisine the area is best known for (see also: barbecue).

Nashville is the center of country music. @Filly- i mean ever girl, my dad took me and my brothers fishing and when we didn't go he brought back what he caught ad we ate it. Come on gurl! you got to put on your straw hat and go down to the lake and catch some catfish!!! (im just joking with ya xD)

Editing … I don't like salmon that much, except for the head, especially the eyes. The eyes are the best part. Braised salmon head is just a great dish. I just ate it earlier today, actually. It's pretty easy make if you have dark soy sauce and fish sauce. Add green onions, brown sugar, black pepper, salt, water too.
