In Sympathy, Hitomi Takahashi fuses hard rock seamlessly with J-pop for an epic diva album like no other. Although her backup band spends most of their time jamming on the loud electric guitars, the changing lineup plays a wide variety of music for her incredible vocals. Aosora No Namida was the most famous single for western audiences, because it was the first opening song for the Blood+ anime. Her other songs are just as influential in shifting Japanese pop music to an aggressive hard rock sound.
