Oh, looks like there's a shitton of downloadable ones on 3DS as well. 6 of them in fact! Not including Mario's Picross. That's a lot of picross.

Editing … Dunno. But how many Mario Party games do you need? Really? All they care about is quick easy cash.

Editing … I suppose there are more Mario Partys than necessary. I've never thought about it. I never pictured one house having more than a couple of them. I guess I just can't hate the greed when it's not my wallet they're sucking money out of. It's not like the world of gaming doesn't have enough quantity or variety for me, and I don't have specific expectations of specific companies, with the exception of Atlus and Persona 5.

Editing … If you bought a Nintendo as your console though you'd have no variety whatsoever. It annoys me that fanboys stick up for them and keep them releasing rehashes by buying them over and over. I'm lucky, I can afford what I like. Kids can't though, if they get bought a Nintendo they are stuck.

Editing … I suppose I'm happy I grew up with a ps1 over a nintendo 64. I don't think I would've liked anything on 64 as much as Silent Hill, though who knows?

Editing … Download an emulator and see. There are very few N64 games I like, the jump Sony made to discs just allowed better games, pure and simple.

Editing … A lot more, though of course I've played a lot more and it was my very first system. I like DS and 3DS more than Nintendo 64 and Gamecube for sure though. Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, Etrian Odyssey, various Pokemon games, Mario 64 DS, Might and Magic Clash of Heroes, GTA Chinatown Wars, Final Fantasy III DS, Final Fantasy Tactics A2, Space Invaders Extreme, and Pokemon Picross are all my jam.

Editing … DS was good for RPGs, I'll give it that. But I think it was a good platform for smashing out quick to make turn based 2D games when consoles were going for the massive 3D games. Dragon Quest 9 is my favourite DS game but objectively it's not half the game of DQ8.

Editing … I liked DQ 9 at first until I found out switching jobs set you back to level 1. I feel FF III DS did it more smartly, having your main level and job level be separate, as FF V and Tactics War of the Lions also did. PSP wasn't awful at the 3D stuff. I liked Silent Hill Origins and Ratchet and Clank Size Matters and Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep. I'm not sure whether I liked the DS or PSP library better. It feels like the DS had more games but the PSP ones were from franchises I knew and liked. I think I liked the PSP more as a system cause it's my music player. I don't care about the Vita though. I like that 3DS has backwards compatibility with DS and the eshop. I haven't really liked the GBA games I've tried much, I think I prefer Gameboy Color.
