Saved!DoubleagentEditing … The Anime fanbase is large, considers itself separate and the style / subjects covered in anime are unique to the point that media is produced that would never be produced elsewhere. Looking down the top Anime list I can't even imagine what the vast majority of series would look like if they were produced elsewhere. You also only have to look at how popular all the anime related lists are to see that it's got the grounds to be a separate community / section.
