NO ONE speaks like this in real life! NO ONE speaks threateningly to a teenager. No rookie cop immediately accuses someone of being on drugs! I understand it was written for younger audiences but when you treat young people as though they have no hope of understanding how real humans interact then that's what they'll grow up believing. Not in heroes or monsters, but lack of eye contact because they're afraid of some cop immediately accusing them of being on drugs when they get to be 16 years old!
