Whiplash is a breathtaking movie. I was tense throughout the entire film and I don't think that I've felt so much unease and thrill while watching something before. As someone who plans to study art in college, I immediately connected with the main character and I felt such a strong anger and sympathy towards him since I could easily see myself making the same mistakes that he did. And the last twenty minutes... just wow. I'm at a loss for words for how powerful it was. My heart is still pounding. What a haunting film...
