To follow up a 3D Metroidvania game with an open world sandbox could so easily be a disaster but Rocksteady managed to deliver a worthy sequel. The Batman villains are once again portrayed greatly with my favorite being a very creepy version of the Mad Hatter. The combat has been greatly improved from Arkham Asylum and so has the rest of the gameplay. But it has to be said that the story and the pacing is pretty weak when compared to Arkham Asylum. Arkham City is a great game, but not as great as its predecessor.
