    From Wikipedia: "On November 20, 2015, creator of the show Alex Hirsch announced that the second season of the show would be its last. The decision was made by him in order for the show to not lose its original spark. The show will conclude with a one-hour special event titled "Weirdmageddon 3" which is expected to air in 2016"

    Interesting. It's nice that they wanted to end it before it could go south, but I imagine it could have been good for a couple more years at least. I can't wait for the second season to drop down to 25 dollars on Amazon Video like the first season was when I got it.

      Editing … It's probably for the best though. Just think back to all the good shows that have gone downhill from prospering too much and having gone on for too long. The Simpsons being a prime example of this. (Or even MLP in your case, given your current jaded attitudes about it and its future seasons.)
